Release context
Freedom Fighters is Shahaf Efrat's Israeli psychedelic trance project, known for a darker and more progressive approach than much of the country's full-on output. His albums document a gradual widening of the sound toward techno and hypnotic club structures without losing its psychedelic foundation.
Rebel is the earliest Freedom Fighters release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Edge (2017). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
