Release context
Klungsum is the 2015 Electrypnose album released through Zenon Records, bringing Vince LeBarde’s highly individual production into a label already associated with deeper and more experimental progressive psychedelia. It followed a long run of self-directed releases and placed Electrypnose within one of the key homes of the zenonesque sound.
The fit is easy to understand without reducing the album to a label style. Electrypnose already had a reputation for intricate arrangement and unpredictable genre movement; Klungsum simply gave that approach a new context inside a catalogue built around detailed, unconventional dancefloor music.
