The story behind Outsiders
Outsiders is the Israeli psytrance duo of Haim Lev and Guy Malka. Active from the early 2010s, the project entered the international scene during a period when Full-On was being refreshed by cleaner production, darker psychedelic detail and a growing emphasis on collaboration between generations of artists.
The 2015 album Our Prophecy established Outsiders as more than a singles project, combining their own material with collaborations and remixes that connected them to established names across Psytrance. Be As You Are followed in 2019, while releases through labels and networks surrounding TIP and Sacred Technology further strengthened their position in the modern Israeli Full-On continuum.
Outsiders have remained highly collaborative into the 2020s, working with artists such as Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Vertical Mode, Imagine Mars and others. The project is still active in 2026, with current releases activity continuing even when specific live-lineup details are not always clearly documented.
Origins of Outsiders
Haim Lev and Guy Malka formed Outsiders in Israel, with releases documented from at least 2013. The duo arrived from within an already mature local Psytrance scene rather than from an isolated regional scene.
The early years
By the middle of the 2010s Outsiders had built a clear identity through Full-On-oriented Psytrance, collaborations and remixes. Our Prophecy in 2015 was the first major album landmark.
How the career developed
Be As You Are in 2019 broadened the catalogue while the duo continued to collaborate heavily across the international scene. Their work with artists linked to TIP, Sacred Technology and the Israeli festival circuit reinforced Outsiders as a networked project , not a closed studio duo.
Outsiders sound
Outsiders make modern Psytrance with a strong Full-On component: rolling low end, dense psychedelic sound design, high energy and a polished festival-ready mix. Individual collaborations can pull the sound toward progressive or darker territory without changing the project’s overall centre.
Place in psytrance history
The duo is an important part of the modern Israeli Full-On/Psytrance continuum, connecting a younger production generation with long-established artists and labels from the global psychedelic scene.
Connections and influence
Regular collaborators and connections include Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Vertical Mode, Imagine Mars, Raja Ram, Burn in Noise and the wider TIP/Sacred Technology network.
Outsiders today
Outsiders remain active in 2026, with current releases activity including new remixes of collaborative material. The exact live configuration should be described only when explicitly documented.
