The story behind One Man Orchestra
One Man Orchestra began in 2013 as a Danish electronic project by Thomas Westerby and Morten Granau. The duo used the name for melodic techno and deep-house material rather than Granau’s Progressive Trance sound. Their early releases included an Inlab Recordings debut and later Iboga-related material.
By 2018 One Man Orchestra was being presented as Thomas Westerby’s project, while Westerby subsequently developed his own-name solo discography. The project separates Morten Granau’s club-oriented side work from his trance releases and marks an early stage in Thomas Westerby’s later solo career.
The One Man Orchestra name remained in use through 2018; Thomas Westerby’s newer releases are primarily under Westerby.
