Biography
K.O.B. (Kind Of Behaviour) is the darker and more experimental side project of Swedish producer Jannis Tzikas, best known as Filteria. Tzikas created K.O.B. in 2007 after establishing Filteria’s melodic modern-Goa sound. The project allowed denser rhythmic structures, stranger psychedelic turns and less predictable arrangements, while also leaving room for downtempo and ambient ideas.
Early K.O.B. material appeared alongside Filteria releases before the project’s debut album Identity Mash arrived in 2017. K.O.B. shows Jannis Tzikas exploring a less overtly melodic and more structurally experimental direction outside the core Filteria identity.
Identity Mash (2017) is the project’s latest dedicated release; later activity is unclear. Directly related to Filteria through Jannis Tzikas while remaining a separate project; Suntrip Records is the key album-era label relationship.
