The story behind Audiopathik

Audiopathik is a Mexican dark Psytrance project formed by Alex Urias and Gilberto Wendlandt. Active from the mid-2000s, the duo developed a fast and experimental approach that moved between dark Psytrance and higher-speed psychedelic forms. D-A-R-K Records released the Anger Audio EP in 2006 and Necrophilia in 2007 by Urias and Wendlandt as Audiopathik. Formed in Sonora, Mexico during the mid-2000s by Alex Urias and Gilberto Wendlandt. Early releases on underground dark-Psytrance labels established the duo’s fast, twisted and experimental production style.

Audiopathik released EPs and compilation tracks across multiple international underground labels, becoming part of Mexico’s dark and high-speed Psytrance network. Audiopathik is an established Mexican contribution to the international dark-Psytrance scene of the mid-to-late 2000s, particularly its faster experimental edge.

The project remains part of the Audiopathik catalogue; current live and studio activity is unclear. The project also connects to later collaborative work involving Kashyyyk through Frequency Navigators.
