Release context
X-Dream's Marcus Maichel and Jan Müller began working together before the Goa-trance boom and first recorded under the name in 1991. Their catalogue is notable for the way it moved from early psychedelic trance into darker, more technological and electro-influenced territory rather than remaining fixed in one period sound.
Trip To Trancesylvania is the earliest X-Dream release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding We Created Our Own Happiness (1996). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
