Vibrasphere was the Swedish project of Rickard Berglöf and Robert Elster, later continued by Berglöf. The duo became central to progressive psytrance while also maintaining a strong downtempo side, and their albums often move naturally between club material and more reflective electronic music.
Within Vibrasphere's catalogue, Exploring the Tributaries sits between Selected Downbeats Vol. 1 (2006) and Lungs of Life (2008). That position makes the album useful for hearing how the project was changing across that period rather than treating it as an isolated entry.
