Release context
Sonic Species grew from Joe Markendale's UK psytrance work into a long-running international project, with the debut album Unleash The Beat establishing the core identity. Later releases gradually widened the production palette while keeping the project centred on direct, melodic dancefloor writing.
Beyond Influence was introduced as the first single from Sonic Species' next album cycle. Its importance is mostly chronological: it marked the point where Joe Markendale began publicly unveiling the production direction that would shape the project's following releases.
