Release context
Breaking The Matrix followed Resolution Of Duality in 2005 and moved Sirius Isness to Mind Control Records. The quick turnaround between the two albums reflects a particularly active phase for the duo, when their studio output and international touring were developing in parallel.
The label change is also part of the context. Rather than building their identity through a single long-term imprint, Sirius Isness moved between specialist psytrance labels, and Breaking The Matrix sits in the middle of that sequence before Phantasm Records issued Trance Fusion the following year.
