Release context
SFX predates Astral Projection and belongs to the earliest phase of Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter's work together. Archive releases under the name provide a direct link back to the period before the Astral Projection identity was established and before Israeli Goa trance had become an international movement.
The Lost Tapes collects recordings credited jointly to Aban Don and SFX from 1988–1993. That date range places the material before and around the birth of Astral Projection, making the album less a conventional comeback than a document of the experiments that preceded one of Israel's most influential Goa trance projects.
