Release context
Groove Moderator takes its title from one of the tracks on Saiko-Pod's Phutures and Options album, turning that album-era material into a focused EP format for ACDC Records in 2003.
Saiko-Pod was created by Danish producers Frank E. Madsen and Ian Ion after their earlier work together in Koxbox and Psychopod. The new name marked a shift toward a slower, funkier and more club-oriented psychedelic sound. The project was concentrated around the early 2000s, so its EPs are closely tied to the Phutures and Options period rather than representing a long sequence of unrelated releases.
