Release context
Mother Funker Remixes revisits the Pixel and Wrecked Machines collaboration years after the two producers first worked together during the 2000s. The 2020 release turns an established joint track into a remix-focused package, giving the partnership a modern catalogue presence rather than leaving it entirely in the earlier full-on era.
That history is what makes the release interesting. Pixel and Wrecked Machines were both important parts of the international full-on network, and the remix project reconnects that shared past with newer production contexts while keeping the original collaboration clearly credited.
