Release context
Millions Of Miles Away is a compact 2001 Oforia release built around the title track and an Infected Mushroom remix. That pairing is more important than the short running time suggests: it places Ofer Dikovsky's solo project alongside another Israeli act that was rapidly becoming internationally prominent at the beginning of the decade.
The release also shows how remix culture functioned inside the Israeli scene. Rather than existing only as album material, tracks moved between artists and labels, gaining new arrangements and new audiences. In Oforia's chronology, this two-track release acts as a small but useful document of that collaborative network.
