Release context
*Polynomial* was released by Spin Twist Records in 2014 as a four-track package built around the original track and remix versions. That structure gives the release a different purpose from a conventional EP of unrelated material: it treats one composition as the centre of a small remix ecosystem.
For Morten Granau, this kind of format suits a catalogue driven heavily by club circulation. The remixes extend the track’s life across different sets and audiences while keeping the original idea clearly at the centre.
