Release context
Mad Tribe is the collaboration between Space Tribe's Olli Wisdom and Mad Maxx's Max Peterson. The pair began making music together in 2005 and built the project around high-energy psychedelic trance, humour and a shared taste for exaggerated science-fiction imagery.
Fake Guru comes from the mature Mad Tribe period, after the Space Tribe/Mad Maxx partnership had already been established for more than a decade. The release keeps the project's playful science-fiction identity intact while extending a catalogue built largely through singles, EPs and collaborations.
