*Further* was released by UP Records in 2011 and is one of the key early full-lengths in Grouch’s catalogue. Oscar Allison’s project was already moving beyond straightforward progressive psytrance, bringing in dub, bass music and more organic rhythmic ideas.
That breadth became increasingly important to Grouch’s identity. *Further* is useful because it shows the project before the later Zenon period had fully crystallised, with the music already pointing toward the slower, deeper and more cross-genre direction that would distinguish Grouch from more conventional progressive acts.
