Release context
Cosmosis is Bill Halsey's UK psychedelic trance project and an important part of the late-1990s Goa scene. The early albums combine melodic writing with a funkier rhythmic sensibility, documenting the point where classic Goa trance was beginning to evolve toward the fuller production of the next decade.
Cosmology is the earliest Cosmosis release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Synergy (1998). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
