Release context
Braincell is Ralph Knobloch's main psychedelic trance project. Across a long sequence of albums, he has maintained a prolific studio practice that also branches into Solar Spectrum, Unknown Reality and collaborative projects, making Braincell the centre of a much wider body of work.
Within Braincell's catalogue, Frequency Evolution sits between Transformation Of Reality (2007) and Connecting Multiverses (2017). That position makes the album useful for hearing how the project was changing across that period rather than treating it as an isolated entry.
