Avalon is Leon Kane's UK psytrance project and one of the defining names of the modern full-on festival sound. His albums chart a move from an already established dancefloor style toward increasingly polished, collaboration-heavy production across the 2010s.
Rise followed Avalon's debut Distant Futures after a long gap and reflects how much Leon Kane's profile had grown in the intervening years. By 2019 Avalon was already a major festival act, so the album works as a mature consolidation of a sound developed through years of singles and collaborations rather than as a simple second attempt at the debut formula.
