What defined Transcape Records

Transcape Records is a Serbian Psytrance label founded in 2015 around a simple idea: combine the atmosphere and musical character that drew its team to Psytrance in the first place with modern production techniques. That old-meets-new approach remains visible in a catalogue that ranges across driving psychedelic trance, progressive-leaning material and deeper, more classically structured Psytrance.

How Transcape Records developed

The catalogue begins with Relativ’s Out Of My Mind in June 2015. From there Transcape developed into a substantial digital label with more than one hundred releases, steadily connecting Serbian producers with a wider international artist network.

The label has remained productive into the mid-2020s, with releases continuing through 2026 , not the catalogue simply surviving as an archive.

People, organisation & management

Transcape operates from Serbia. Public label text emphasises a collective love of Psytrance and a shared wish to carry its earlier spirit forward. Beatspace distributes the catalogue under an official agreement, but the complete founder and ownership structure is not clearly documented enough to state as fact.

Sound, roster & A&R direction

The label’s centre of gravity is psychedelic trance with a strong progressive component. Its releases often favour rolling basslines, clear melodic movement and a balance between older Psytrance atmosphere and contemporary production weight.

Place in psytrance history

Transcape is part of the generation that turned Serbia’s strong producer scene into a sustained label infrastructure. Its long-running catalogue has provided a consistent home for both regional artists and international collaborators.

Scene impact & cultural reach

The label shows how specialist digital distribution helped regional Psytrance scenes maintain global reach without relying on the physical-release system that shaped earlier generations of labels.

Key releases & catalogue moments

Relativ’s Out Of My Mind established the catalogue in 2015. By 2026 the Beatspace archive listed well over one hundred releases, including recent material by i-460 & Kaizan, Alurian & Micky Noise, OwnTrip & Vertikka, Fiction & Micky Noise and others.
