What defined Electrypnosis Media

Electrypnosis Media is the artist-run imprint connected to Swiss producer Vince LeBarde’s Electrypnose project. It gives him a direct outlet for releases that sit across psychedelic trance, electronica, downtempo and more experimental territory.

The imprint is part of a other releases in which Electrypnose also works with established labels such as Peak, Digital Psionics, Suntrip, Iboga and Techgnosis. Instead of representing one narrow subgenre, Electrypnosis Media reflects the project’s deliberately broad electronic range.

How Electrypnosis Media developed

The imprint appears in Electrypnose’s official discography from at least 2010, when Technopera was issued through Electrypnosis Media. It was also used for E7 in 2012 and Electrypnose Introduces Vatem in 2014.

Far from being only an archival imprint, Electrypnosis Media remains in use. In July 2026 Electrypnose released Dreamarimba through the label, confirming continued activity well beyond its early-2010s releases.

People, organisation & management

Electrypnosis Media operates as a self-directed artist imprint around Electrypnose , not a conventional roster-heavy psytrance label. That structure gives Vince LeBarde room to release material outside the stylistic or scheduling constraints of larger third-party labels.

Sound, roster & A&R direction

The imprint mirrors Electrypnose’s unusually wide palette: psychedelic trance, progressive and experimental electronics, downtempo, psychill and club-oriented material can all sit within the same body of work. Its identity is therefore tied more closely to the artist’s creative universe than to a single genre formula.

Place in psytrance history

Electrypnosis Media documents the independent side of one of Switzerland’s long-running psychedelic electronic projects. It shows how established producers increasingly use artist-run imprints to control catalogue presentation while continuing to release selected work through outside labels.

It preserves artist-controlled releases outside the conventional label system.
