The story behind Future Frequency
Future Frequency is the collaboration of Leon Kane (Avalon) and Joe Markendale (Sonic Species). Created as a platform for a deeper and groovier direction than their main projects, it emerged with Transmission in the mid-2010s and expanded into the 2016 album Freakuencies.
The project combined original tracks with remixes and collaborations while retaining the pair’s polished dancefloor production. The 2018 NANO track Time Crystals with Yestermorrow continued its progressive-leaning branch. Future Frequency illustrates the mid-2010s crossover between UK Full-On and the deeper progressive side of modern Psytrance within the NANO network.
Releases appeared through 2018; later activity is unclear. A separate collaboration , not a simple Avalon or Sonic Species alias.
