X-Dream's Marcus Maichel and Jan Müller began working together at the end of the 1980s and first recorded under the name in 1991. Their catalogue moved from early Goa trance into darker, more technological forms of psychedelic music, and Gravity Plus has since become the main home for reissues, remixes and archival material.
We Interface - The Mixes (Japan Release) belongs to Gravity Plus's programme of reopening the X-Dream catalogue through new mixes and outside producers. The series treats classic tracks as working material, allowing different generations of electronic artists to reinterpret ideas that were originally tied to very specific moments in trance history.
