Release context
Fade Out is PTX's 2011 album for Bionics Records, released six years after Participate In The X-Periment. That gap makes it a later chapter rather than an immediate follow-up, with the broader psytrance landscape having shifted considerably since the project's first album.
Returning to the same label gives the two records a clear connection despite the time between them. Fade Out therefore works as a continuation of PTX's original catalogue rather than a relaunch under a different imprint, while also documenting how the project's production developed across the second half of the 2000s.
