Release context
*Spore To The Floor* is part of Mandala's long run of Nano Records singles spanning the period before and after *Back To Your Nature*. Released in 2020, it sits in a catalogue where individual tracks often carry the project forward between larger releases.
Mandala's Nano Records catalogue grew steadily across the late 2010s and 2020s, moving from EPs and singles into the 2018 album *Back To Your Nature* and then back into a regular stream of stand-alone tracks. The result is a discography where the smaller releases do much of the work of showing how the project evolved between larger statements. That continuity is the useful context here: Mandala's development is spread across these singles rather than concentrated only in albums.
