Release context
*Symphony of Strings* was released through Nano Records in 2024 as a Laughing Buddha single. It sits between collaboration-heavy releases in the same period, giving Jez Ardley's project room to carry the track without a co-headline credit.
Laughing Buddha's recent Nano Records output has largely developed through singles and collaborations rather than long-form albums. That suits Jez Ardley's catalogue well: the project has always been closely connected to the UK psytrance network, and the newer releases often place that connection directly at the centre of the track. In that sequence, the solo billing is useful context in itself: it shows that the newer catalogue was not exclusively built from joint productions, even though collaboration remained a major part of it.
