Juno Reactor began as Ben Watkins' electronic project in the early 1990s and quickly moved beyond the boundaries of trance. Across successive albums, the project increasingly folded in live percussion, orchestral writing, guitars and international collaborators, making its catalogue unusually broad for an act with roots in Goa trance.
Transmissions is the earliest Juno Reactor release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Beyond the Infinite (1995). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
