Release context
*Howling Totem* is a 2022 Hypnocoustics single from the project's later catalogue. It sits in a run where standalone tracks were appearing regularly alongside EPs, giving the period a steady flow rather than one album-centred campaign.
Hypnocoustics has a long catalogue stretching from early EPs and free downloads through the albums *Into the Light*, *Transformational Structures* and *Liminal Existence*, so these later singles and EPs belong to an established project rather than a new act finding its footing.
