Release context
*On / Off* was released by Creamcrop Records in 2003 and became Genetic Spin’s first full-length album. The record grew naturally out of the earlier EP period and placed the Danish project firmly inside the Scandinavian progressive scene that was flourishing at the time.
As a debut album it gave Genetic Spin space to move beyond individual dancefloor tracks and develop a more complete musical profile. It also begins a short but productive sequence of albums that continued with *Backspin* and *Spin City*.
