Release context
Fungus Funk is Sergey Prilepa's long-running psychedelic trance project. The catalogue stretches from the Russian scene of the 2000s into later international releases, with an emphasis on detailed sound design and a willingness to move between darker and more playful forms of psytrance.
Formanted follows Fungus Funk & Drip Drop - Fungus Drop EP 2023 (2024) in Fungus Funk's recorded catalogue. By 2026, the project already had enough history behind it for this ep to be heard as part of an established creative arc rather than a standalone introduction.
