Release context
Dark Whisper is a German psychedelic trance project that blends darkpsy intensity with conceptual album writing. Across several releases, the project has used the album format for extended themes rather than simply compiling unrelated dancefloor tracks.
Within Dark Whisper's catalogue, The Trivium sits between Realms Of Unseen (2016) and Rhythm Of The Infinite (2019). That position makes the album useful for hearing how the project was changing across that period rather than treating it as an isolated entry.
