Release context
Astral Projection are one of the defining Israeli Goa trance projects, with a catalogue that helped shape the melodic side of the genre in the 1990s. Their later digital releases have increasingly organised that history into themed collections, remixes, nonstop mixes and retrospective volumes alongside new collaborations.
Astral Projection - Cosmic Projections Collection VOL - 1 is part of Astral Projection's large-scale digital retrospective work from 2022–24. Rather than functioning as a new studio album, it curates established material into a themed sequence, making different parts of the group's long history easier to hear in context.
